Plumbing System

A plumber is the one who repairs or fix pipes and essential materials but what is a plumbing system? It simply means a system contained of connected pipes, fittings, valves equipments and accessories contained in pumbling.

There are three major types of plumbing system. We have sanitary drainage, stormwater drainage and potable water. All of these are benificial and can help us to further understand plumbling to make our city safe and healthy.

First, Potable water. It is also know as drinking water that came from the surface and ground sources and also a safe natural water for drinking. After the water is collected from it, it undergoes a treatment process to remove contaminants and make it safe for use. One examples is the potable water purification devices, these are self-contained and easily portable unit for purifying.

This potable water is an essential part of human life and can be expected to become an even bigger problem in the near future.

Next we have is the Sanitary drainage. This is a system of pipping underground pipes that carries sewage. It is a public system for treating sewage from a facility, or in such a system, a private system available to treat sewage at a facility. There are three types of sanitary drainage, these are sanitary sewers (called as foul sewers), storm sewers (also called surface water sewers), and combined sewers.

A sewer is an underground pipe or tunnel system used to carry wastewater from a home or commercial building to a treatment plant or disposal facility.

Lastly, Storm drainage also known as surface or runoff sewers. The main purpose of this system is to drain the surface water and to prevent flooding in our environment. They are often built into roadside curbs, alleys, or basements floors and consists of both public and private systems.

Unlike sewers that carry waste to treatment plants, storm sewer systems lead untreated runoff directly into our environment.

All these plumbing systems are very important in ensuring that water is safe for everyone and in preventing leaks that may cause damages to houses, walls and floors.
